Weekly Trading Report: April 17, 2026

This week was the definition of a “trading hangover.” As noted in last week’s report, we entered this period heavily leaning into a bearish thesis that failed to materialize. Instead, the market climbed all week, forcing us to dismantle our defensive structures and claw back capital from a position of weakness.

The highlight of the week was the surgical exit of the ROKU PMCC (Poor Man’s Covered Call). While the short-call leg was under heavy fire from the rally, the long-call surrogate captured the intrinsic value move perfectly, allowing us to close the entire trade for a net profit and salvage the week for the Lexus Fund.

Lexus Fund

Weekly Performance: +$1,356.75

  • Total YTD Realized Gain: $10,430.80
  • Remaining to Goal: $39,569.20 (Target: $50,000.00)
  • Progress Bar: [▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░] 20.86%
  • Required Weekly Velocity: $1,069.44
  • Est. Key Handoff Date: December 31, 2026
  • Status: The fund demonstrated great resilience this week. By closing out the total ROKU PMCC trade as planned, we netted $718.75 ($1,167.25 gain on the long leg offset by the -$448.50 loss on the short leg). Additional gains in SPX and NFLX kept us well above the required weekly velocity.

Travel Fund

Weekly Performance: -$360.00

  • Total YTD Realized Gain: $2,506.28
  • Weekly Contribution: -$360.00
  • Status: The fund is still recouping from the “bear trap” set last Friday. We were forced to realize over $1,100 in losses on Monday morning as the /ES Iron Condors were breached by the upside rally. However, aggressive management using Futures 111/112 strategies throughout the week allowed us to claw back nearly 70% of those losses, ending the week with a much smaller “bruise” than initially feared.

Looking Ahead

We are shifting to a neutral posture. The Travel Fund’s rolling average is in the red, so the focus there will strictly be on high-probability 112 Income trades to rebuild the YTD cushion. Lexus remains the primary growth engine, looking for the next momentum setup in tech to keep us ahead of the handoff schedule.
